Arrival in Marrakech
As soon as you arrive at Marrakech airport, your Morocco itinerary 14 days begins with a warm welcome from our friendly driver guide, who will escort you to your charming hotel or riad. Take this time to unwind, soak in the new surroundings, and ease into the rhythm of the city.
Full day in Marrakech
On the second day of our Morocco 2 week itinerary, after a delightful breakfast, your local guide will meet you at your accommodation to begin a full day of exploring Morocco’s legendary "Red City." Known as the "southern pearl" and the second oldest imperial city, Marrakech has long been a vibrant crossroads for traders and travelers.
Together, you'll uncover its rich history by visiting iconic landmarks such as the Saadian Tombs, the ornate El Bahia and El Badi Palaces, the historic Ben Youssef Madrasa, and the towering 77 meter minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque. You’ll also stroll through the peaceful Menara Gardens and the artistic haven of Jardin Majorelle (be sure to book tickets a day or two in advance).
Later, immerse yourself in the energy of Jamaa El Fna square a UNESCO World Heritage Site where storytellers, musicians, and street performers bring the city to life. Finally, wind through the vibrant souks before retreating to your Marrakech accommodation for a restful overnight stay.
Marrakech - Kasbah Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorges
After breakfast, we’ll leave Marrakech and set off on an unforgettable drive through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, following the winding Tizi N'Tichka pass at 2,260 meters an engineering marvel built by the French Foreign Legion in 1936. Along the way, enjoy sweeping mountain views before arriving at the iconic village of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO listed kasbah famed for its cinematic history.
As we cross the dry riverbed, our journey leads us to Ouarzazate often called the “Hollywood of Morocco” where you’ll have the chance to discover the captivating Cinema Museum and explore the town’s rich film history. The journey then takes us past the grand kasbahs of Skoura and into the fragrant Valley of the Roses, known for its blooming beauty and vibrant Rose Festival each May.
As we pass through charming Berber villages and fields tended by local women, the peaks of the Atlas Mountains offer a dramatic backdrop. By late afternoon, we’ll reach the striking Dades Gorges, where a peaceful overnight stay awaits amidst awe inspiring natural scenery.
Dades Valley- Tinghir - Merzouga
Valley to marvel at the peculiar rock formations famously known as “monkey toes.” As we journey toward Tinghir and into the Todra Valley, you’ll take in panoramic views of centuries old Berber mud villages clinging to the valley’s edges.
At Todra Gorge, stroll beneath the towering 300 meter red cliffs an awe inspiring haven for rock climbers. Between Tinjdad and Erfoud, we’ll visit a traditional underground irrigation system that once channeled cool water beneath the arid earth, a testament to ingenious desert farming. In Erfoud, a town renowned for fossils, we’ll stop to explore how ancient marine life has been transformed into intricate artifacts. After a Berber style lunch in a local village, we’ll press on to the golden sea of Erg Chebbi.
There, you’ll meet your camel caravan and set off across the rolling dunes, guided by local camel men. Take a moment to pause atop a towering dune and soak in the breathtaking sunset, before continuing onward to your desert camp for the night. As night falls, enjoy a hearty dinner and gather around the fire for live Berber music under a sky ablaze with stars an evening of magic and connection in the heart of the Sahara.
Full day in Merzouga
Wake up early to catch the breathtaking desert sunrise one of the most magical moments in Erg Chebbi before returning to camp for a refreshing shower and a hearty breakfast. Then, your off road desert adventure begins as we explore the surrounding region. You'll visit nomadic families who live near the dunes, offering a glimpse into their resilient way of life in the harsh Sahara environment, while sharing a warm cup of mint tea with them.
We’ll then head to the M'Fis mines, set on a high plateau where stunning panoramic views of the dunes stretch endlessly. The journey continues to Khamlia, known as the Gnaoua Village, where you'll be welcomed with hypnotic traditional music performed by locals whose roots trace back to Central and West Africa.
After absorbing their rich culture, enjoy a delicious lunch of traditional Berber pizza. The day also includes a visit to Dayet Sarji Lake, a seasonal oasis that draws flamingos and desert wildlife in spring.
Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Ifrane - Fes
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we’ll depart from your accommodation and begin our journey to Fes, traveling through a tapestry of landscapes that beautifully reflect Morocco’s diverse and dynamic geography.Our first highlight is the sweeping Ziz Valley an endless ribbon of lush palm groves dotted with ancient Ksours (fortified villages).
From there, we ascend the Tizi N'Talghamt Pass, known as the “Pass of the She Camel,” and continue into the majestic High Atlas Mountains, reaching the charming town of Midelt. Here, we’ll pause for lunch and refresh with a traditional cup of mint tea. As the road winds north, we’ll stop in the Middle Atlas town of Michlifen to see playful Barbary macaques in their natural cedar forest habitat.
Our journey then takes us to Ifrane, famously known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” thanks to its charming alpine-style buildings and refreshing mountain breeze. Before arriving in Fes, we’ll pause for a scenic photo opportunity or enjoy a relaxing drink amidst the serene surroundings.
Full day in Fes
After breakfast, prepare to step into a living museum as our local guide meets you for a full day discovery of Fes one of Morocco’s oldest and most spiritually significant imperial cities, founded in 808. This UNESCO listed city is a treasure trove of history, and our tour begins at the gleaming Golden Gates of the Royal Palace.
From there, we’ll drive up to a panoramic viewpoint where the vast walls of Fes El Bali (the Old Medina) stretch out before you, whispering tales of centuries past. Then it’s time to dive into the heart of the Medina on foot an immersive journey through winding alleys filled with color, scent, and life.
You’ll encounter ancient mosques, madrassas, and spiritual landmarks before reaching the vibrant Tanners’ Quarter, where centuries old techniques still thrive. Lunch isn’t included, but we’ll break at a traditional Moroccan restaurant tucked within the Medina. In the afternoon, you’ll explore the artisans’ district, where skills passed down from Andalusian ancestors live on in intricate woodwork, leather, and mosaic. This is Fes raw, rich, and remarkably timeless.
Fes - Meknes - Volubilis - Rif Mountains - Chefchaouen
After enjoying breakfast at your riad in Fes, we’ll set off toward the ancient Roman city of Volubilis a remarkable archaeological site that, while more intimate than some Mediterranean ruins, paints a vivid picture of Morocco’s Roman past with its well preserved mosaics and quiet charm.
From there, we’ll head to Meknes, the imperial city known as “The Moroccan Versailles,” founded in the 17th century by Sultan Moulay Ismail. As we continue our journey, the landscape begins to shift into the verdant folds of the Rif Mountains, with rolling hills and farmlands leading us to the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen.
Tucked between the mountains, this city is renowned for its soothing blue hues, cool breezes, and photogenic alleyways. As the day fades, you’ll wander through its medina, marveling at the blue washed facades and browsing markets filled with handmade local treasures. Chefchaouen - Tétouan - Tangier
This morning, we greet the sunrise with a peaceful stroll through Chefchaouen’s quiet, empty alleyways, capturing their charm before the town awakens. Often called the "Blue Pearl" of Morocco, this enchanting city rests at the foot of the Rif Mountains, its name "Chaouen" inspired by the horn like peaks that surround it.
Its calming blue and white painted homes, vibrant souks, and peaceful energy have made it a beloved destination, especially during the summer months. You'll enjoy wandering its maze of narrow streets, discovering artisan shops offering unique handwoven fabrics, local goat cheese, and traditional crafts you won’t find elsewhere in Morocco.

After breakfast in Casablanca, get ready for a scenic coastal adventure as you head south toward the charming town of Essaouira. Along the way, you’ll uncover two hidden treasures of Morocco’s Atlantic coast. First, step into the historic streets of El Jadida, a UNESCO listed city once known as Mazagan, where traces of Portuguese architecture whisper stories of the past.
Then, unwind in the peaceful seaside town of Oualidia famous for its tranquil lagoon and mouthwatering oysters, it’s the perfect spot to pause and soak in the sea breeze. As the journey unfolds, the coastal road leads you to Essaouira a relaxed, artistic gem where the lively harbor and enchanting medina await.

Today, we say goodbye to the refreshing coastal breeze of Essaouira and set our course for Marrakech, the lively and colorful city affectionately called the "Pearl of the South."Along the way, we’ll stop at a local Argan Oil Women’s Cooperative, where you’ll discover how this precious golden oil is traditionally extracted a fascinating insight into Moroccan heritage.
Continuing our journey through picturesque countryside and charming villages, we’ll make a stop in Ounagha, an area known for its scattered Argan trees. If luck is on our side, we might even spot the famous tree climbing goats snacking on the branches an unforgettable sight! Once we arrive in Marrakech, the rest of the day is yours to explore at your own rhythm.
Dive into the lively energy of Jamma El Fna square, marvel at the towering Koutoubia Mosque, or stroll through the enchanting Majorelle Gardens (just be sure to book your tickets online a day or two in advance). Tonight, we settle in for an overnight stay in the magical city of Marrakech.
